Founded

Ohio University was founded in 1804. We were the first university established in Ohio!

Location

The 1,850-acre campus is located in Athens, Ohio, which is a community of approximately 24,000 residents, 50 miles northwest of Charleston, West Virginia and 75 miles southeast of Columbus, Ohio.
